Terrible service from brsmch manager. They changed policy no longer accept cash deposits (300.00).

I've been making deposits into my daughters account and I was able to do this the past 19 months. No warning. No notice. The manager handed me a brochure type thing listing the cash deposit rules.

There is no effective date. The manager refused to grant me a one time exception and she was extremely rude. My daughter is out of state so she's not around to sign a check if i wrote one. What a stupid rule.

Mgr. Said was to prevent fraud. How stupid. Fraudsters are mostly in other countries so they arent putting 300.

Into an account in nowhereville virginia. So rude and stupid rule.

Suntrust is merging with BBT SO because of all of this...i just closed my BBT savings account. I'll never do business with either bank ever again.

SunTrust in Tarpon Springs, Florida - The online banking is horrendous

How does a bank have maintenance during banking hours for customers. Also the customer service at the Palm Harbor, (across from boot ranch), branch teller Michelle is rude and condescending. Also the Manager is incompetent and does not know how to talk to the customers. I had to do business at the bank so I chose to go to the bank farther down Tampa Road. WOW what a difference in customer service. All the Tellers were very nice and talked to me as an equal. I think that more training needs to be done at the boot ranch branch.

The people who answer the phones have no idea, nor do their managers because they did not change the format description---their computer programmers did the deed for some reason. You need to keep kicking this up the chain of command until you find someone who can and will query the programmers as to why they did the change and who authorized the change(s).

This change didn't happen for no good reason, someone told them to make the changes----for some reason. They need to know not only that you are rather unhappy with the change but this adversely affects your record-keeping.

Good luck. You might find a different bank better at this.

I was told by a representative of the company that it does not matter how long I have been with them, since 2004, that I cannot have my free checking account. Never mind how much they made for investing my money elsewhere while in their bank. Seriously, if your bank will tell you it doesn’t matter how long you’ve treated them right, they will not treat you right.

Sun Trust - Are 'Customers' really 'Victims'? How does a customer get their deposit back when the bank ignores them?

By Bill Harris, Patch Poster | Apr 2, 2019 7:41 pm ET What does a consumer do when the bank won't respond to inquiries and the largest firm of lawyers in town won't help because of a 'conflict of interest'?Well there is always some self help. The situation is that in trying to get away from marginal service at Wells Fargo a checking account was initially established at the Sun Trust in Canton. With no notice it was closed after 2 days.OK, there are a lot of financial institutions in the county, no big deal right?But what do you do when the bank refuses to return the $6,665.44 opening deposit, won't even communicate with you let alone offer a reason? Further complications result when the firm of Bray and Johnson won't touch the case due to a 'conflict of interest' the local bi-weekly paper won't take an advert critical of the bank and in fact won't even do a story about the matter.Well, there is always taking the matter to the general public via internet blogging and some informative post cards.

From my research on the net it seems that this isn't an isolated problem and in fact Sun Trust has an entire department called the 'Account Closing Department'. The issue seems simple to me, if they don't want the account then give back the money.

They approved my mortgage loan with my mom, both go to buy a home,I spend money in termite inspection ,home inspection 2 time and home apprise ,after 60 days in this process when we go to close they said yo not qualified for low income, first said you and your mon qualify and I start to spend my money in the process and later when everything Almost finished they said no you don't qualify, you are not professional, you have to mosh time for check all the information, now I apen a case and waiting the answer for your bad jod
